Privacy Policy
In one sentence: TruVocab does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no server — everything you do in the app stays on your device.

This policy applies to the TruVocab Android app distributed on Google Play.
1. Summary
TruVocab is an offline vocabulary flashcard app. It is designed so that we — the developers — have nothing to collect. The app is not connected to any of our servers, because it does not have any. We cannot see your decks, your review history, your settings, or anything else, because that information never leaves your device.
2. What we do not collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, license, or share any of the following — from any user, on any version of the app, through any feature:
- Name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information
- Usernames, passwords, or any kind of account or sign-in credentials
- Photos, contacts, files, media, or device storage contents
- Precise or coarse location, GPS data, or cell/Wi-Fi based location
- Advertising ID, device identifiers, or fingerprinting data
- Contacts, call logs, SMS/MMS, or calendar contents
- Microphone, camera, or biometric data
- Health, fitness, or medical information
- Browsing history, search history, or web history outside the app
- Keystroke logs, session recordings, or screen recordings
- Diagnostics such as crash logs, ANRs, performance traces, or analytics events
- Any information you type into review notes or other free-text fields
TruVocab requests no internet access in its release build. It is not equipped to send data anywhere, and it is not equipped to receive data from us.
3. What stays on your device
The following data is created and stored locally on your device only. We neither receive nor have any way to access it:

Because this data is held locally, you control it. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage permanently deletes it. It is not included in any backup, export, or account we hold, because we do not hold any.
4. No analytics and no crash reporting
TruVocab does not contain or integrate any analytics service, crash-reporting service, telemetry SDK, or attribution framework. Specifically, it does not include Google Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics, and it does not use Google Analytics for Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Sentry, or any comparable product. If a crash occurs, it does not send a report anywhere; it simply fails.
5. No advertising and no third-party trackers
TruVocab contains no advertising, no ad networks, no ad identifiers, and no third-party tracking or profiling of any kind. The app requests no advertising ID. We do not use pixels, beacons, or fingerprinting, and we do not embed content from third-party websites or social networks.
6. Purchases and payments
TruVocab offers one optional in-app purchase: TruVocab — Full
Library Unlock (Play product ID unlock_all_decks), a one-time,
non-consumable purchase that permanently unlocks all vocabulary decks. It is not a
subscription and there is no recurring charge.
All payment processing is performed entirely by Google Play Billing. Your purchase is completed on Google's secure payment screens, and payment details (such as your card number) are entered into and handled by Google. We never see, receive, store, log, or transmit your card number, billing address, or any payment credential. Google shares with us only what is needed to confirm the transaction — generally the product purchased and whether the entitlement is currently valid. The unlock status is checked with Google Play so that you do not have to pay twice, and we do not retain it ourselves.
Google's handling of payment data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.
7. Notifications
If you enable review reminders, TruVocab schedules notifications locally on your device using Android's notification system. Notification content and scheduling are stored on your device and are not transmitted to us. Disabling reminders in the app or in Android settings stops them at any time.
8. No data sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose any information to third parties, advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers — because we do not have any information to disclose. We do not share data with social networks, crash-reporting services, or attribution partners. We have never received user data from anyone, and we cannot provide it to anyone.
9. Children's privacy
TruVocab is a general-audience vocabulary learning app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). TruVocab does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, and it is not capable of doing so: there is no account system, no sign-up flow, and no data collection. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it has no need to rely on parental consent provisions and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below, though we would not expect this to be possible.
10. Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights over your personal information. In practice, there is nothing to exercise them on: we hold no personal information about you. Because all app data is stored on your device, you can view, modify, or delete it at any time by using the app's settings, or remove all of it by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.
11. Security
App data is stored in Android's app-private storage, which is isolated from other apps by the operating system and protected by the device's own security features (such as screen lock and full-disk encryption). As no data ever leaves your device, there is no transmission of personal information to intercept, and no risk of a data breach involving your information.
12. Third-party services
The app uses standard, openly documented software components under open-source licenses, which run entirely on your device. Beyond Google Play Billing for payments, the app contacts no third-party services, links out to no third-party sites, and embeds no third-party content.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example if the app changes or to keep the wording current. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the "Effective date" at the top will be updated accordingly. We will not apply changes retroactively in a way that reduces your rights. Continuing to use TruVocab after changes are posted means the updated policy applies from that point on.
